Terms of service

Last updated 11 September 2026·Privacy policy →

Knowbi is run by Structure For Health Pty Ltd, an Australian company, ABN 90 665 250 751. These terms are an agreement between you and us, and by using Knowbi you agree to them and to our privacy policy. Please read the health and safety sections properly. They are the ones that matter to you rather than to us.

Who can use Knowbi

You must be at least 16 years old and able to enter a binding agreement. Knowbi is not for children and we do not knowingly let anyone younger create an account.

Knowbi is not medical advice

We are not a healthcare provider. We do not practise medicine, chiropractic, physiotherapy or any other regulated health profession, and we do not diagnose or treat anything. The movements we suggest, the sets we build, and everything the coach says to you are for general wellness and information only. None of it is a medical opinion about you, and none of it replaces seeing someone qualified in person.

Using Knowbi does not make anyone your practitioner. Some of the people who built it hold professional qualifications. They are not acting as your doctor, chiropractor or physiotherapist when you use this app. They have not examined you, they are not supervising your care, and nothing here is them treating you. If you want care from a practitioner, go and see one.

Knowbi asks about your pain and your body and uses your answers to pick your movements. That makes what you see specific to what you told us. It does not make it clinical advice and it does not mean anyone has assessed you. We have not examined your body, we cannot see how you move, we know nothing of your history beyond what you typed, and we cannot tell whether what you typed was complete.

Speak to someone qualified first

You should talk to a qualified health professional before starting Knowbi or any other stretching programme. That matters especially if you are pregnant or recently gave birth; have a heart condition, blood pressure problems or have had a stroke; have osteoporosis or any bone density condition; have had surgery, a fracture, a dislocation or a joint replacement; have a disc injury, nerve pain, numbness, tingling or pain that radiates; have arthritis or an inflammatory or connective tissue condition; get dizzy or have balance problems; are recovering from an injury or are under someone else's care; are over 35 and have not exercised in a while; or take medication affecting your heart rate, balance, blood pressure or how you feel pain.

That list is not exhaustive. If you are not sure whether it is safe for you to stretch, the answer is to ask somebody qualified, not to guess.

You accept the risks of physical activity

Physical activity carries real risk, including serious injury, making an existing condition worse, permanent disability and death. No instruction and no app removes that risk.

By using Knowbi you accept that you are choosing to do this, that you understand the risks and accept them freely, that you are physically able to do what you attempt and have taken advice about that, and that you alone decide whether a movement is right for you on any given day.

Stop immediately if you feel sharp pain, dizziness, breathlessness, chest pain, numbness, or anything that does not feel right, and get medical help if it does not settle. Never attempt a movement you have been told to avoid or believe is unsafe for you, even if Knowbi shows it to you.

In an emergency

If you think you are having a medical emergency, stop using the app and call your local emergency number or go to a hospital. Do not use the coach, the feedback form or anything else in Knowbi to ask for urgent help. Nobody is watching them in real time.

The coach is an AI, and it can be wrong

The chat is powered by an artificial intelligence model run by another company. It produces text by prediction. It can be confidently wrong, it can misunderstand you, and it has no clinical judgement. Do not rely on it for anything that matters to your health, and never let it override advice from a real practitioner. Everything above about medical advice applies to every word it says.

Your account

You sign in with your phone number, so keep access to that number secure. You are responsible for what happens through your account. One account per person, and do not share it: what Knowbi holds is about one body, and a shared account builds sets for nobody.

What you may not do

Do not use Knowbi unlawfully. Do not reverse engineer it, scrape the movement catalogue or our other content, use automated systems against it, interfere with our systems, use it to build a competing product or train a model, or misrepresent your health in a way that puts you at risk. We may suspend or close an account that does any of this.

What we own

The app, the movement catalogue, the written instructions, the designs and the name Knowbi belong to us or to the people we license them from. You get a personal licence to use the app and nothing more. Anything you send us that is not personal information, such as feedback and suggestions, we may use freely without owing you anything. We would rather have your feedback than negotiate over it.

Payments, memberships and gems

While Knowbi is in testing, every purchase is simulated. No card is charged, no payment details are collected, and any price you see is a placeholder. If the app ever asks you for a card during the test, something is wrong. Stop, and tell us.

When Knowbi does sell, it sells through the Apple App Store and Google Play. They take the payment, hold your card details and set the price in your currency. We never see or store your card. A membership renews automatically unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the period ends, and you cancel it in your Apple or Google account settings, not in Knowbi, because we cannot cancel it for you.

Gems are a licence to use features inside Knowbi. They are not money, they have no cash value, they cannot be transferred or exchanged for money, and they end when your account does. Refunds are handled by the store you bought from, under that store's policy. None of this limits rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law or any other law that applies to you.

Your rights that we cannot take away

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or changes any right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law or any other law, where it would be unlawful for us to do so. If you are a consumer, you have guarantees that cannot be excluded, including that services are provided with due care and skill. You may be entitled to a refund or replacement for a major failure and to compensation for reasonably foreseeable loss.

We do not exclude our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded. Where these terms say we are not liable for something, that applies only as far as the law lets us say it.

Where our liability is limited

Subject to the section above, and as far as the law allows: Knowbi is provided as it is, we do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we promise you no particular health, fitness, flexibility or pain outcome. Results differ between people.

Again subject to the section above, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability to you in any twelve-month period is limited to the greater of what you paid us in that period and one hundred Australian dollars. Where our liability can be limited but not excluded, it is limited to supplying the service again or paying for that.

If you cause us loss

As far as the law allows, you cover us against claims and costs arising from your breaking these terms or the law, from information you gave us that was wrong or incomplete including about your health, or from a claim somebody else brings about your use of Knowbi. This does not apply where the claim comes from our own negligence or breach.

Ending this

You can stop using Knowbi whenever you like and delete your account in Settings. We may suspend or close your access if you break these terms, if we reasonably think your use puts you or others at risk, or if we stop running Knowbi. Deleting your account deletes your data, but it does not cancel a subscription: cancel that in your store account or you will keep being charged.

Which law applies

These terms are governed by the law of New South Wales, Australia, and its courts. If you are a consumer living somewhere else, this does not take away the protection of any law of your own country that applies to you whatever we write here, and you may be able to bring a claim there. Before going to court, please email us and give us a real chance to fix it. Most things are fixable by talking.

While Knowbi is in testing

This is an unfinished test build on a test server. Things will be broken and some of what you see will change or disappear. That is expected rather than something to report, unless it stops you using the app. We may end the test or change the app at any time, and we will tell you when we do.
